A Sports and Festive Day to Kickstart 2025 with AMICO
The beginning of 2025 was marked by an exceptional event organized by AMICO on February 7, 2025, in Katsaoka, aimed at strengthening team spirit and starting the year on a dynamic and friendly note. A trip outside the city allowed the association’s members to take part in a series of sports activities and moments of relaxation, fostering cohesion and engagement from everyone.
A Variety of Sports Activities for All Tastes
The day started with an overview of the sports activities offered, allowing everyone to shine in their favorite discipline or discover new ones. The male members of AMICO kicked off the day with a 7-a-side football match, where the competition was as friendly as it was intense.
The female members participated in 6-a-side basketball games, showcasing their team spirit and energy. Sports enthusiasts also had the opportunity to gather for a pétanque tournament, creating a convivial and relaxed atmosphere.
The day also offered a refreshing moment with a swimming session, a perfect way to cool down and recharge after these moments of effort. Each activity allowed participants to strengthen team spirit while having fun.
Emotional Speeches
This day wasn’t just about sports; it was also marked by several symbolic speeches. The HR manager opened the speech series by first thanking the company’s leaders, congratulating them for the progress and success of the company to date. She also extended her congratulations to AMICO, which is celebrating its 30 glorious years of existence this year. Finally, she offered her best wishes to all the collaborators, emphasizing the importance of each member within both the company and the association.
The General Director of the company CODAL then took the floor to extend his New Year’s wishes. He reminded everyone of the company’s sustainability, exemplified by the Malagasy saying “Ny mitabe tsy lanin’ny mamba” (the crocodile won’t defeat us), meaning that together we are invincible. He highlighted the importance of continuing to move forward together to tackle future challenges while emphasizing collaboration and strength.
A particularly moving moment was marked by the speech of the former president of AMICO, who expressed her gratitude to all the board members and the association’s members. She thanked them for their commitment and collective work. In a speech full of appreciation, she reflected on key moments from her tenure, congratulating AMICO for its growth and strength. She also encouraged the association to continue on its path of solidarity and unity.
