Reforestation in Ambohimahavelona on March 22, 2025
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, CODAL SA launched a major reforestation initiative on March 22, 2025, in Ambohimahavelona, a rural commune in Talata Volonondry.
This environmental commitment is part of a sustainable approach aimed at offsetting the company’s carbon footprint, preserving biodiversity, and raising awareness among employees about ecological issues.
On this day, CODAL SA employees, accompanied by an environmental expert and volunteers, planted over 400 trees of a selected species: the acacia, which is well-suited to the local ecosystem. This initiative helps combat deforestation, improves air quality, and contributes to soil regeneration.
Mr. Claude J. BRUNOT, General Director of CODAL SA, stated, “Our commitment to the environment is an integral part of our values. Through this reforestation project, we aim not only to reduce our ecological impact but also to involve our employees in an eco-responsible approach.”
This initiative will be accompanied by regular monitoring of the plantations to ensure their growth and sustainability. Additionally, other ecological actions are planned, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and environmental awareness.
