COmptoir D’Alimentation is the origin of the commercial brand CODAL. This public limited company, founded by Jacques BRUNOT, is a food canning workshop that has maintained to this day the family tradition of rigor and quality that has built its reputation.
We are proud of our 75 years of experience in the agri-food industry in Madagascar.

Thanks to our continuous pursuit of innovation and our experience, we have developed the widest range of typical products, Malagasy specialties, and culinary originals, directly stemming from our collaboration with the expertise of small Malagasy producers.

CODAL is certified Fair & Solidarity by ANCESM – the National Association of Fair and Solidarity Trade in Madagascar, with which it contributes to various social actions.

Our products are developed according to HACCP standards, with some productions being certified organic (BIO) and FFL.

75 Years dedicated to food quality

Arriving in Madagascar in June 1932, Jacques Brunot, an engineer from Arts et Métiers University, worked for 17 years in the meat industry, processing corned beef in Diego-Suarez for a company named Société Rochefortaise.
