As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, CODAL SA launched a major reforestation initiative on March 22, 2025, in Ambohimahavelona, a rural commune in Talata Volonondry.

This environmental commitment is part of a sustainable approach aimed at offsetting the company’s carbon footprint, preserving biodiversity, and raising awareness among employees about ecological issues.

On this day, CODAL SA employees, accompanied by an environmental expert and volunteers, planted over 400 trees of a selected species: the acacia, which is well-suited to the local ecosystem. This initiative helps combat deforestation, improves air quality, and contributes to soil regeneration.

This initiative will be accompanied by regular monitoring of the plantations to ensure their growth and sustainability. Additionally, other ecological actions are planned, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and environmental awareness.

With this approach, we demonstrate that responsible economic development and environmental protection can go hand in hand. By acting today, we are sowing the seeds of a greener future for future generations. “Because every tree planted is one step closer to a sustainable world!”
